Quality Translation and Interpretation Services that Bridge Japan and the U.S.

Japan Bridge (Portland, Oregon) offers a professional Japanese translation and interpretation service that helps our customers overcome both language and cultural barriers as they endeavor to partner with or deepen exchanges with their Japanese counterparts.

Our trusted quality service is backed by formal interpretation and translation training and more than 20 years of professional experience covering a vast spectrum of fields in the U.S. and Japan.

Japan Bridge provides consecutive, simultaneous, and whispered interpretation services as well as document translation. We work in a wide range of settings, including business and technical meetings, VIP visits, training workshops, technical site visits, and international conferences.

Interpretation/translation is not simply about finding word-for-word equivalents. It is about conveying the message effectively. We take pride in working with our customers to methodically prepare for each meeting or visit so that we have a thorough understanding of the context we will be working in. Nobue Kaite

I have been working with Ms. Kaite for a number years on a variety of Japanese-capacity training programs at Portland State University. The programs that she has interpreted for us cover a broad range of participants, including those who work in public administration, NPOs, and universities. She interprets the nuances of Japanese and English very accurately and clearly, and has consistently received high reviews from our participants.

Yachiyo Iisako — Center for Public Service, Portland State University

I was pleased that Ms. Kaite understood the critical requirement of confidentiality in mediations and that she was very careful in handling sensitive information during the mediation. Ms. Kaite is a very polite and delightful person to work with, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a highly qualified Japanese interpreter.

Mr. E — Attorney, Portland, Oregon

Ms. Kaite was always very professional, friendly, and accommodating under sometimes stressful assignments, and she was a staff favorite. She also has a very strong understanding of the cultures of both the U.S. and Japan as well as business cultures and practices.
